His Hour Has Not Yet Come

"My hour has not yet come." John 2:4

Maybe today, you are waiting on God to perform a miracle. To send a blessing down to you that you have been asking Him for; however, maybe you haven't seen anything and you are growing inpatient. If this is you today, my friend, I want you to know that "His hour has not yet come."
You see, in John chapter 2, Jesus is at a wedding, and His mother comes up to Him, knowing that He can perform miracles, and asks Him to make more wine for the guests to drink, for they were out. But Jesus doesn't do it, and I believe that Mary is slightly taken aback by this, but instead He says, "my hour has not yet come." You see, I think that so many of us are in Mary's situation today, and that God is saying the very same thing to us. We are asking God to perform a miracle, and perform it now, but the things is, is that He has a different plan, and instead of growing frustrated with it, instead of giving up and growing impatient, be like Mary, walk kindly away, and wait. But here's the thing, when people have to wait, and when people don't see much progress right in front of them, they tend to grow distant from this miracle that they were once wanting performed. They shut themselves off from it, being sick and tired of waiting, so when it is finally God's time, when He does actually perform the miracle, they will not be able to witness it.
I want to share another bit of the story with you, you see, after Mary waited patiently and Jesus did finally make wine from water, the people who tasted it were surprised, and said, "everyone brings out choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now." (John 2:10) Jesus gave those who waited the best! And that is exactly what God is wanting to do for us today. If we would trust Him, if we would keep believing, and just wait for His wonderful timing to come to pass, He is going to take the miracle, the blessing, or whatever it is that you might being praying for so much better than you could even imagine. So just know that, when you are waiting, God is saving the best for last.
