"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
Maybe today, you are going through something that you really do not understand; or maybe you do not know which path you should take or which direction that you should go in, and are really wishing that you could figure it out. If you are in either of these situations today, I have some good news for you, and that news is that you don't have to figure it out, and you don't have to understand it.
Now, what do I mean by saying that we don't have to figure it out? What help is that going to offer us, just sitting back and doing nothing? Well, that is often the misconception that I believe so many people have with this concept. They think that, by not having to understand and by not trying to figure it out, that they are slacking off. That they would just sit back and do nothing, and they don't want to do that; and they also don't want to give up the control of trying to make everything right again and understanding it all. But you see, when we submit to God, when we put all of our trust in Him, no matter what the situation might be, if we lean on Him to take care of the situation, we are not just sitting back and doing nothing. We are actually doing more, when we do this, than we would have when we were trying to fix it ourselves!
But the difficult part of this is carrying it through. Even when the situation gets hard, even when everything seems to be going on around you, you still have to keep your trust in God and lean onto Him. For even if you don't understand it, and even if you cannot figure it all out, just know that God has that already taken care of it. He will direct your paths, and He is going to tell you where it is that you need to go.
So today, stop putting all of the stress of understanding and figuring it all out on your shoulders, and let God take it. Because when you do, He is going to lead you places that you never could have gone by yourself.
