God Wants To Fight For You

"The Lord your God fights for you." Joshua 23:10

Maybe, in your life today, you are facing a battle. Now, a battle doesn't necessarily have to be against another person, as we may think, but it could mean other things as well. Maybe you are battling with a choice that you have to make, maybe you are facing a difficult situation in your life that you feel is impossible, or maybe it is with a person, someone who is being very negative and cold towards you; whatever it may be that you are battling today, let me tell you, that God wants to fight for you.
Now you see, I believe that we get so caught up in wanting to take care of these battles ourselves. We search and research and plan to make sure we make the right choice, which can be a good thing, but we tend to take so much of the control upon our shoulders that we end up stressing ourselves completely out in the process. We try to overcome this obstacle, we give it all that we can, trying all that we know, but we just end up exhausting ourselves. And with the difficult relationship that we have, we try to either mend it and piece it back together or we decide to ignore the person, just completely shutting them off, and all of these emotions can really strain your mind and your body. Do any of these sound familiar to you? If they do, then let me offer you a bit of good news; there is rest. There is rest from fighting these battles, for God has promised us that He wants to do it for us.
But, how exactly does God begin to fight our battles? Well, my friend, you first need to give Him control. You need to hand the choices, the obstacles, the relationships, and whatever else it may be, all up to Him, for He can't work with it and perform the miracles that only He can if He does not have it in His hands. Now I know that this step can be a bit difficult for some, because letting go of the control means that you have no idea as to what is going to happen next, and that can be a scary thing, but let me tell you, that it should be an exciting thing instead. For God is not only going to fight these battles for you, but He is going to bring you out of the battle better than you were before and present you with opportunities that you would have never dreamed of coming out of this.
So today, what you need to do is hand your battles over to God, for He is going to fight them for you. All you have to do is keep praying, and trust that God is going to bring you out of this, and when He does, you, and your life, are going to be changed in ways you never even dreamed of.
