Let The Light Of Your Faith Overcome That Darkness Of Your Fear

 Maybe today, you are afraid. Afraid of, maybe, the road ahead of you, afraid of a situation working out the way that you want it to, afraid of that big test you have coming up, or anything else that may be weighing heavy on your heart today. It is so easy to feel as though that fear is overtaking you, filling you with worry and anxiety, but let me give you an idea today that I want you to think on; that "fear is the absence of faith."
 You see, there is a quote by Suzy Kassem that I think illustrates this perfectly. She says, "faith is the flame that eliminates fear." Think about that. If you took up your faith rather than dwelling in fear, if you rested in God's promises that He has made to you rather than worrying about all that you do not know, your fear will diminish, and you can begin to start living the life, the one without fear, that God has created you to live.
 Picture this scene for me; you are in a completely dark room, it is absolutely black, you cannot see a thing, that is, even though you want to. You want to get out of this room and go see what is in store for you outside of it, but you are so caught up in this darkness, in this pitch-blackness, that you are unable to find your way out. But see, we have a candle. A candle right at our fingertips that is ready for us to use, but we don't use it because we keep letting the darkness drag us down and pull us into a place of doubt, worry, and anxiety. But see, if we would just light that candle, than that darkness would diminish, we would have light, and we would be able to step out and enjoy the life that is waiting for us.
 See, our fear is that dark room, and maybe today you are feeling trapped in there, but listen to me when I tell you that, at your fingertips, you have a candle to bring light to that darkness, so that you don't have to be afraid, so your don't have to be anxious and worried, and that candle is your faith. If we would just take that up and begin to walk in the light, the life that God has waiting for us is going to be revealed, and we are going to be able to walk into the beauty that comes from your faith overcoming your fear.
