"Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go." Matthew 8:19
It is so easy to make our own plans, to map out where it is that we are going to go and what it is that we are going to do next. We plan out as to how we are going to get there and account for any troubles that we may have along the way, but see, when these plans don't work out, we panic, not having any idea as to where we are now supposed to go. But my friend, if this is you, you just need to follow Him.
You see, it isn't easy to let God make all of the plans, for that involves giving up all control, and can honestly, sometimes leave you feeling a bit lost. You don't know where to go, you don't know where your life is going to take you, and it can be a scary thing, but let me tell you something today, something that could, honestly, change your entire perspective of the journey that God has you on. You see, we need to follow Him. We need to trust in what His plans are for our lives and, when He chooses to reveal them to us, we need to step up and follow Him. See, He is going to lead us into the amazing future that He has for us, but so many are too scared of the unknown that they stay back, missing out on God's goodness.
In the verse above, notice how the man talking, who happened to be a teacher, is caling Jesus just that, His teacher; and that is how we need to begin to view God! He is teaching us the way to go, He is teaching us of the joys, and the plans that He has for us, but we have to be willing to learn, of which we can really only do by following Him.
So today, I want you to step up. I want you to give all control to God, trusting in His plan for your life. I want you to be willing to learn from Him and to absorb what He is teaching you, and finally, I want you to follow Him, wherever it is that He may go, no matter how scary or uncertain it seems, no matter how incapable you think you are, just go. Because when you do, He is going to take you places that you would have never even imagined of going, and He is going to lead you towards the future that He has for you.
