"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:14
Maybe today in your life, God is telling you to wait. Telling you to wait on something that you have been asking Him for. Telling you to wait on a prayer that you have been praying for a while now. But here's the thing, it is when we hear the word wait, that we automatically want to figure out a way for it to come quicker. But my friend, if God is telling you to wait, then He must have a pretty good reason.
Now I know that waiting can be frustrating; especially in this fast-paced world that we live in today. We expect to give God a request or a prayer, and then have Him answer it about an hour later. But you see, I am sorry to tell you that this is not how God works. See, we try to make our own plans and plan out when everything is going to happen, or when it should happen, all while God is up in heaven with His plan for our lives already laid out. God has a timeline for your life of miracles and answered prayers that He is going to grant you with. He has certain times, dates, and moments that are absolutely perfect for you to receive whatever it is that you are asking for. I know it may seem like a long while before you hear anything, but you have to trust that whenever it is that God has planned to give it to you is the absolutely perfect time.
Now, amidst your frustration of waiting and your impatience in expecting your answered prayer, think back. Has God ever given you anything that you wished He would have given you sooner? The answer is most likely no. Did God ever give you anything too early? Probably not. But if He were to work on our time schedule that we think He should work on, we would receive these blessings and answered prayers at all the wrong times, causing them not to be even anywhere close to as great they would be if they were given to you in God's timing. We have to get our minds out of this microwave mentality and start trusting that, whenever God grants us this miracle, whenever it is that He answers this prayer, is going to be perfect. So in the meantime, what we need to do, my friends, is give Him all control, keep praying, and wait.
AMEN...:-):-):-)
