Go Out And Do The Task That God Has Given You; A Post Based Off Of Ezra 10:4

"Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; be strong and do it." Ezra 10:4

Maybe in your life today, God has placed a task within your heart. He is telling you to go somewhere or to do something; but maybe you are hesitant. Maybe you haven't taken up this task that God is telling you to accomplish because you are afraid of the change that it will bring. You are afraid of not knowing what this will have in store or as to where it will take you. If this is you today, let me tell you that you need to just go out and do it.
See, I love this verse so much because there are so many different parts to it that can motivate us to go out and take up the task that God has placed within us, and I want to go over each of them today.
Let's start off with the first word in this verse. "Arise." This is telling us to get up. Stop sitting back, waiting for the perfect time to get going, because let me tell you that that perfect time to get going is now. God has given you this inspiration and this pull to go do something, and He didn't give to you a year ago, He didn't wait until next year to give it to you, but He chose to give it to you now! I don't know the reasoning behind that, but God has one, and He wants you to "arise," and begin on this task that He has given you.
The next part of this verse states that "for it is your task." God didn't give this to anybody else, but He gave it to you. No one else can fulfill this plan that God has for you, for you have to do that yourself. Quit thinking that those people might be better at this than you would be, that you aren't strong enough, smart enough, or capable enough, for God gave this plan to you because He knew that you could handle it, He has created you and given you all that you need to do so.
The third piece says that "we are with you." Now who is we? I like to think of it as our Father, the Son, And the Holy Spirit. They are all with us, isn't that a pretty amazing thing? That we have that much power and that much strength on our side with us in our journey! So rest in that and rejoice in the peace and strength that this fact offers to us.
Lastly, the verse says to "be strong and do it." Quit fearing what might happen and stop worrying about the unknown, but instead, rest in the strength that has been offered to us. The strength that will never fail.
So today get up, and know that this is your task and nobody else's, know that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all on your side, rest in that unfailing strength that is offered and do your task.
