"No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us." Romans 8:37
Today, I want you to be victorious. I want you to go out in whatever it is that you have to face in your life, and face it with a victorious attitude. But see, the problem here, is that when we see the big, daunting task in front of us, it is easy to become overwhelmed, stressed, and discouraged. But my friend, we need to let victory overcome that.
See, notice in the verse above, it says "despite all these things." Despite the stress, despite the worry, despite the discouragement, and despite the fear, we have victory. Apart from all of our weaknesses, God has made us strong, and if we would just learn to take up this idea and rest in it with confidence, we, my friends, could be victorious.
But the problem is here, is that we get stuck. We see what it is that we have to face and we become so fearful, so discouraged, and so stressed out because we are telling ourselves that we are not able to conquer this, that we are not able to complete the task that we need to, or that it would just be too hard. Look, that mindset, that is not a mindset of someone who would say that they are victorious. That is a mindset of someone who has lost the battle before they even stepped out onto the battlefield. But, we can turn it around, if only you would be willing. Instead of looking at all that you can't do and how hard this will be, look at the things that you can do, look at the things that you will excel at! Not only that, but realize that God is going to be walking with you the entire time, He is not going to let you fall, and He is going to grant you with the strength and the knowledge that you need. So in that, have confidence as you go and face whatever it is that is in front of you, and face it with a confidence that we have God. Go out there and be victorious.
