The Power Behind The Peace

"Peace be with you!" John 20:19

 No matter what it is that you have going on in your life, no matter where it is that you are or where you want to be, you need to rest in this promise that, I think, so many times goes unacknowledged. A promise that can do so much, and yet, is far too underestimated. This power and this thing that I think that so many times we miss out on in our lives, is the peace that God is trying to give us.
 Now, I want You to think about this a bit; amidst all of the chaos in your life, the running back and forth, the work or school schedule, and just the daily activities that you are needing to keep up with, amidst all of the worry that we have over the unknown, over what is going to happen next, over whether we will have enough or not, these are the things that are keeping us from God's peace. These are the things that are building up a boundary against it.
 You see, we get so caught up in the whirlwinds of whatever it may be around us, we get so stressed out and we get so worried, that we fail to realize that God is standing right there, amidst the chaos, just waiting for us to rest in this peace that He is offering us with open arms. He has it right there, just ready for us to take it up, but see, we aren't able to realize that because we are too focused on the trouble. We are too focused on the business, the stress, and the worry. But we don't realize, is that with that peace that God is offering us, we wouldn't have to see these things things. Yes, they may always be present in our lives, but if we would rest in the peace that God has to offer, we wouldn't focus on them. We wouldn't worry as much, we wouldn't be as stressed, and the chaos wouldn't seem so overwhelming. Isn't that the type of life that you want to live?
 So today, I want you to rest in that peace that God has waiting for you. The peace that says He has you, and this situation, in His hands, that says He will lead you to where He has you to go, that says, you don't have to understand, but just trust me instead, that says no matter what it is that you are going through, this challenge is going to cause you to come out better than you were before. Do you see the power behind that peace? Now all that there is left to do is to take it, and rest in the promises that it offers us.
