Be Still And Know... A Post Based Off Of Psalm 46:10

"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

In our lives, we have chaos, we have stress, we have things that we are working towards, things that don't make sense, and answers to prayers that we are waiting on; that being said, our "faith lives" are very busy. But see, amidst all of this business, are you really hearing and trusting in God's word that He has offered to you?
Now, I want you to think about this topic in this light; see we are all running around searching for something, whether it be answers to a prayer, direction, healing, purpose, or whatever it may be, so let's symbolize whatever it is that you are in search for by the light. We are all running around searching for this light, a panic almost instilled in us that we need to find it and we need to find it now, but see, you are never going to find that light by doing that, I can guarantee that right now, but instead, you have to trust and listen to the one who is waiting to pour the light out over you.
See, God is waiting to give you what it is that you are searching for, or at least guidance towards it, but we are so busy trying to find it ourselves that we are unable to hear Him. We need to "be still," as it says in Psalm 46:10. We need to just bask in His presence and listen to what it is that He has to say to us, go where He has us to go, and do what He is telling us to do, and you can only find this direction if you go to Him, and listen. Now, know this, for it is a very important aspect, sometimes when we are still and present God with our need, He doesn't always answer. He doesn't always show us where it is that He has us to go or give us the answers that we are pleading for, and this doesn't mean that He doesn't hear them, it just means that this is either not the right time to hand it over to you, or it is not something that will lead you to the future that He has for you. And that is where the second part of this verse comes into play, "and know that I am God." We need to know that His timing is perfect, that if He doesn't give us what we are asking for, that there must be a very good reason behind it. We need to know that He is God, and trust in all that He decides to do in our lives, for we are His creation.
So today, just "be still" and trust that God knows what He is doing, for when you do, He is going to get you to the amazing future that He has in store for you.
