We Need To Break The Habit Of Negativity That The World Has Fallen Into

"Talking about our problems is our greatest addiction. Break the habit. Talk about your joys."
Rita Schiano

In the world today, I think that there is a sense of negativity. People are always going around talking about their problems, talking about what is wrong in the world today, what they saw on the news, how difficult their job is, or how bad the roads are. See, we may not pay much attention to these types of things, but if we did, and we make the choice to start changing our outlook on our lives, we could ultimately change the world.
Now, how are we supposed to change what other people are talking about? And how are we supposed to change the world in doing so? Well you see, we need to break this addiction, as the quote above calls it, of talking about our problems. We need to stop focusing on all of the negativity in the world, because let me tell you, it is always going to be there. But see, we have such a positive force within us, we have such joy and happiness in Christ, that we can break this habit! We can take this joy; this light, that we have in Christ, and show others what it is like to live with it. We need to shine this light unto others so that, instead of focusing on all of the negativity of the world, that they can focus on the joy of Christ and begin to enjoy all of the many blessings that He has waiting.
Now, I do know that we are all human, and of course we are going to have moments where we fall into negativity, but what we have to know is that this is not where God has you to live. He has you to live in the light.
So today, start breaking this habit of negativity that the world has fallen into by talking about the joys of life. Talk about how beautiful the weather is, talk about the blessings God gives you, talk about things that make you happy, talk about plans that you have that you are excited about. For not only will this rid you of the darkness that negativity brings, but it will reveal to others the light of the positivity that we have in Christ, and they will want what you have and then want to share that with others! The cycle would continue, my friends, if we would first start and break the habit. Start tapping into the positivity that we have in God and go share it with the world.
