Aim For The Impossible

"The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it." Michelangelo

Let me ask you today; where are you aiming, and what is it that you are aiming for? For most of us, it is probably something that we know that we will be able to reach, something that we can just work our way up to. But I want to challenge you today, to start aiming for a goal that you know you can't reach.
Now, I know that you may be asking why it is that we would aim for something that we know that we can't reach. It sounds like we are just setting ourselves up for failure. But my friend, it is quite the opposite. You see, Michelangelo put it perfectly when he said that our greatest danger was not aiming too high and then missing it, no. But instead he said that our greatest danger is aiming too low, and then reaching it. Now, don't get me wrong, reaching your goals is truly a great thing, but if we are always aiming so slow to where we are able to reach it ourselves, then we are never going to see God's greatness, miracles, and blessings that He has in store for us come to pass. We are never going be able to enjoy the impossible things that God could, in fact, could make possible.
You see, if we would start aiming higher, and if we would start aiming for goals that we know that we can't reach, at least not on our own, and if we would pray to God to let His will be done in our lives and lead us towards it, then you are going to see God take you places that are higher and more spectacular than you could have ever gotten yourself. You are going to see God bring the impossible to pass in your life, and you are going to see Him take you to new and higher places that your goals before, the ones that you knew that you could reach yourself, never could have.
So today, aim high, aim for something that you know that you can't reach. Today, aim for the impossible, and watch God begin to work His miracles in your life.
