In our lives when we are faced with difficulty, most people don't realize that they have a choice. They have a choice to either let their earthly instincts take over and become bitter about the situation, or they have the choice to let it make them better. Which one of these today, my friend, are you choosing?
Now you see, I don't think that many of us really even realize that we actually have a choice. We just assume that when you are in a difficult situation, then you become bitter, you are cranky, and the reason is because you are in a difficult situation. But see, what some don't even realize is that they are just using this difficult situation as an excuse to be bitter. They are using it as an excuse so that they are able to complain with reason, but what they are not understanding is that there is another choice! When a difficult situation comes along there is no reason that you have to be bitter, but instead, you can let it make you better. You can make the choice so that, instead of letting this difficulty affect you in a negative way, that it can be a stepping stone into the life that God wants you to live! You see, He wants you to become better than you are right in this very moment and He wants to lead you higher than you are right now, but before we can actually get to the point of doing that, we have to make the choice that we are going to let this difficulty make us better rather than bitter.
Now, I know that this can be a difficult task, after all, we are human. We do get bitter and frustrated, but we also have remember that God is going to use this situation for good. He going to take this difficulty and transform it into a transformation within us and within our lives, that is, if we allow Him to do so, and to do that, we have to make the choice that, despite what it is that we are facing, even though everyone else who would face this would be bitter too, that we are instead going to let it make us better. We are going to allow this situation to transform us and lead us closer to the person and the life that God has us to be and live.
So today, in the face of difficulty, let it make you better, rather than bitter.
