Cast Your Judgment Aside And Show Love; For You Could Be The Change This World Needs

"Love people for who they are instead of judging them for who they are not." Unknown

In this world today, especially during times of political turmoil and hatred, for some reason our first act of response is to judge others. We judge the people who don't agree with what we think, we judge the people on the other side of the situation, we judge the people that are different, we judge how they should do this or that better, we judge everything. Now, I do not exactly know why this is, but I do know something, and that is God did not call us to judge, especially in times of turmoil and trouble; but instead, He called us to love.
Now, I know that this could be a bit difficult for some people, and that is okay, we are all works in progress, but I want you to remember that Jesus has called us to be like Him. Since He is no longer physically on this earth, He has left us with the responsibility of modeling His behavior, and His love. Think about this for a second; when Jesus was roaming the earth, did He ever judge His people? Think of all of the many people who followed Him, and even some that didn't; He loved the sinners, those who the entire city shut off, didn't talk to, and judged. He loved those who made mistakes, He loved those who were in the wrong, He loved everyone. I mean, just take a look at some of His disciples; Peter had a temper, Judas stabbed him in the back, Thomas doubted that Jesus even went through what He did, and yet, He didn't judge any of them, and He loved them despite their flaws and encouraged them to follow Him.
This is how we have to be with our world today, my friend. We need to cast our judgment aside and just begin to show the type of love that Jesus has shown us. This world has enough opinion, it has enough negativity, enough hate, and enough judgment, that we don't need to be adding to that, but instead, we need to do what Jesus has told us to, we need to take up the responsibility that He has left with us here on this earth and begin to love like Him, act like Him, and be the light that this world so desperately needs right now.
So today, go out and just throw that judgment aside so that you are able to make room for that unconditional love that Jesus is just waiting for us to show the world. For when you do this, you, my friend, are going to bring a light and a hope to this world, one that others will see inside of you, want, and then begin to search for and find. You could be the change we are looking for, if you would step out today and show show love.
