"Cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
In your life today, maybe you are feeling anxious. Maybe you are worried or tense about something coming up in your life, about something that is happening, or about something that could happen. Does this sound like you today, my friend? Are you so full of worry and anxiety that you are doubting whether God can even fix all of this? If so, I pray that this post speaks to you today.
Now you see, the biggest problem that we have with these anxieties is that we think that we need to take care of them ourselves, mostly due to the fact that we don't want to open ourselves up to anybody like that, it's embarrassing. But my friend, there is someone that you know with 100% assurance that you can open to and won't be judged. There is someone that, when you open up, they will take all of this off of your shoulders. That person, is God.
See, I think we sometimes forget that God wants us to give him everything, good and bad. He wants us to give Him praise, He wants us to give Him our deepest worries, He wants us to give Him what we are excited about, along with what we are mad or upset about. God wants us to give it all to Him, and we need to remember and put this fact to use in our lives, especially when it comes to this anxiety.
In the verse above, God promises us that He will take care of us and our anxieties if we would hand them all over to Him. But I think that this is one of the hardest parts for people. They think that they can take care of their anxieties themselves, which actually ends up making it worse. But if you would let go of that control and hand all of those worries over to God, then you, my friend are going to see your life change for the better.
Picture it like this; whenever you have anxiety building within you, picture your Father ascending down from Heaven and asking you, "do you think that I can take care of this?" I will let you determine your answer for this one...
So today, let go of that anxiety, and let God take control. God loves you and He cares for you. He wants you to live the life that He has created you to live, one that is free from the weight of worry and anxiety.
