 In our lives today, I think that we put so much in to getting people to like us. We post things on social media, just hoping that they will "like" what we posted, we do things for them and try to be in with the cool crowd so they like us, and we just keep trying and keep trying to be as popular as we can be. We want as many "likes" as she has, we want to look like her, because everyone complimented her outfit, and we want to drive that car, because look how many people go up to it oohing and awing. But listen, we need to stop focusing so much on getting our worth from this earth, and start realizing where it is that we actually get it from.
 Now see, trying to get everyone to like us in this world is not only an impossible task, but an exhausting one. We need to come to terms with the fact that, if those people aren't happy with who it is that God has created us to be, those people who need you to change before they can "like" you, those people aren't worth your time. Don't go and try to change for them, for if you do, you are going to be morphing yourself out of the original person that God has you to be and into a copy of the standard that this world sets.
 But here is what I want to tell you today, here is what I want you to know and rejoice in; see, we don't need to have people like us, not one person. And I know this may sound a bit discouraging at the thought of no one liking you, but if you are following the path that God has for you, if you are chasing after Him, the dreams He has given you, and just pursuing Him and His will in all your life, it doesn't matter who likes you, it doesn't matter if you are a bit different than them, or if your posts don't get as many "likes", for you are pleasing to God, and His "like" is truly the only one that matters.
 So today, stop trying to please and seek your worth through these worldly things, yes, be kind to people and do good, but don't let the people who don't like you determine who you are and cause you to change. Rest in God, and just know that He approves of you, and He loves you more than anyone ever could, just as you are, and just as He has created you to be.
