Be The Light To This Dark World

 In our world today, there is trouble. It is heartbreaking to look in the news and find out about all of the hate and darkness that our world has come to. But see, God is counting on us. He is looking to us to step up and shine this light that He has given us into this dark world, bringing the light to those who are truly hurting, those who are in need, or those who just need love.
 Now, I know that this can be difficult. I mean, we, ourselves, are troubled, thinking of the trouble that is going on around us. And I think that we all feel that we need to do something, we need to contribute somehow in an attempt to make this world a bit brighter, but how do we do that? How are we supposed to help this situation? We feel so small compared to all that is going on. But you see, my friend, we just need to be there for the hurting. We need to love them and offer prayers for them. This world has enough hate right now as it is, that we don't need to be contributing to that. We don't need to make this world darker, but we have the ability, and we need to use it, through God, to make this world brighter. And to do that, like I said, we need to be there for the hurting. We need to let them know that we are thinking about them. Go up to them with open arms, and just show them the comfort and light that they are so desperately needing. We need to love them. We need to let them know that we are there for them and that we love them. For right now, they don't need anyone to stand against them, they need someone to stand for them and with them, and to shower them with the light of this love that God has so graciously given us. And we need to pray for them. We need to get on our knees and truly, truly pray for these hurting people. We need to pray for this world, and all in it, and offer up the hope that we have in God. For the power of prayer is stronger than anything, and we need to take it up and use it.
 So today, just go out and shine your light. The world doesn't need any more criticism. The world doesn't need any more hate. But what the world needs now is light. It needs us to show love, to show compassion, and to offer up prayer for anybody and everybody. We can be the change that we are needing to see, if today we would begin to take the step and be the light.
