Better To Light A Candle, Than Curse The Darkness

 When something bad happens in our lives or in the world around us, we tend to dwell on it quite a bit. We talk about it, discuss it with others, and complain about it. Quite often we even find ourselves truly angry at this situation, asking why this would happen to us, why would this would happen to the world, or are mad at how dark this world has become. But let me tell you, my friend, that cursing the darkness in our lives and in the world around us isn't going to make it any brighter, but maybe you should take those words and that energy that you use to speak those negative words and start lighting some candles in this dark world.
 Now I know what it is that you may be thinking, "Well I am human. I do complain, and I can't be happy all the time." But see, that is not what I am asking you to do. I am asking you to stop cursing the darkness, because, when we do, when we just continue to pile up the negativity upon this already negative situations, for doing so just contributes to the darkness that is already there. Now, complaining is one thing, telling your friends and family what is going on and expressing your frustration, but let it stop there. So many people let a negative situation overtake them and turn them into negative people that are constantly adding to the darkness that, frankly, this world already has enough of. But you, my friend, you can be the candle in the darkness that this world needs, that is, if you would light it.
 See, God has created us to shine. He has shaped us so that we are able to shine His light throughout this world, revealing it to this dark place that needs it so desperately. So today, don't let that negativity dim your light, and just be the candle that this world needs. Show God's love in every way possible, loving everyone unconditionally, keep a positive attitude, and by all means, just be happy! Not only is this going to brighten your life and the world around you, but others who are trapped in the darkness of negativity are going to see that light, and want what it is that you have.
 You can be the start to making this world a brighter place, my friend, if today, you would just light your candle.
