Stop Living The Lives Of Others

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." Steve Jobs

In our lives, when we see someone else living a life with something that we want, such as a fancy car, a new job, a certain type of clothes, or just an abundant life, we try to go after these things ourselves. We want to be like these people who seem like they have it all and we want to have what they have. But my friend, have you noticed that when you go after these types of things, and you do find them, they don't make you even close to as happy as you thought you'd be? Why is that? Well you see, it is because you are trying to live someone else's life.
See, God created each one of us to live our own individual lives, each one of them being uniquely different. But in today's modern society, that uniqueness isn't necessarily appreciated as much as it should be. There are so many people that get caught up in the "trend" of wanting to be "cool." And wanting to be that way involves shoving yourself into the mold that society thinks that we should fit into. A mold that determines what we should wear, how we should act, what kind of music we listen to, ect. But this, my friend, is not the life that God has created us to live! This is not the unique and blessing filled life that we should be living, but rather, we are missing out on all of that trying to live the life of somebody else just so we are able to fit in. Well guess what? God didn't create you to fit in. He didn't create you to be this ordinary creature that society is trying to turn you into, but He created you to be extraordinary!
See, if God wanted us to look like, act like, or be like them, and if it doing so would have given us a better path for our life, then He would of created us to be that way. But He didn't, so that means that He has something better in store for us. See, when He sees us trying to fit into that mold of society, it breaks His heart, for we are His beautiful creation, and this life that He has given us is so much better than any other that you could find by becoming like somebody else. So we need to start enjoying who it is that God has made us to be! We have to appreciate this life that He has so graciously gifted to us! For when we do, and when we stop trying to live the lives of others, that is when you are going to see God's blessings, miracles, opportunities, and spectacular plans unfold in your life.
