We May Know What We Are, But Know Not What We May Be

"We may know what we are, but know not what we may be." William Shakespeare

 When we take a good look at ourselves, we see the person that we are. We see what we are capable of and we see what we are able to do and accomplish with what we have. We can see our limits. But when God gives us a dream that is way beyond those limits, we get discouraged. We know that we aren't going to be able to accomplish this, because look where that finish line would be, and look where we are. Looking at ourselves, we know that we just aren't going to be able to do it. But my friend, as Shakespeare so brilliantly said in the quote above, "We may know what we are, but know not what we may be."
 Now you see, God has us this way that we are seeing ourselves as in this very moment because that is what He needs us to be right now in His plan for our life. Right now, He has you exactly where it is that He wants you to be. You are not too weak, not smart enough, or not strong enough, but right now, in His plan for your life, He sees you as perfect. So you see, we can't look as far ahead as accomplishing that dream may be; I mean, yes, do so with excited anticipation, but don't let it discourage you, for right now, you are exactly where you are supposed to be, and you have no idea as of the type of person that you will be tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year, for that person who is following the path to their God-given dream is going to be given everything they need along the way so that they are able to, in fact, reach it.
 So today, don't let the view of that dream way ahead of you discourage you, but let it do the opposite! Yes, as of the moment you may not be able to accomplish it, but right now you are exactly where God has you to be, and He is the only one that knows who you may be going on in the future. So keep the faith and just believe that your Father is going to grant you with all that you need as you go down this path towards fulfilling that dream that He has given you.
