In our lives, we want peace and we want happiness, we want comfort and steadiness, but so often, we are not able to have these things because of the situation that we are in. When we are stuck in stressful situations or trying to overcome an obstacle. We ask God that He would lead us out of this place to that place of peace that we want to find where there is nothing bad going on. Well, my friend, this may not be the answer that you are wanting to hear, but God isn't going to give you peace once you exit this situation. This seems like a shocking statement, doesn't it? But do you know why He isn't? That is because He already has, and that peace that you are waiting to find until after your situation is over is already within you.
See, we are always so focused on the end goal, where we are going or when this is going to be over, that we fail to realize that God is trying to speak to us in the midst of this trouble. God sees us searching so desperately for that peace and He hears our pleading prayers, so don't think that He is not hearing you or listening and just not delivering you from this situation. No. But know that He has heard you and He is giving you the peace in the midst of this situation, you just need to be still and listen to Him, for He is placing this peace inside of you.
You see, as much as we'd like to think there is, there is never going to be a time of perfect peace where the whole world is just perfect, there is always going to trouble, but there is a place of perfect peace that you can access at any time, and that is within you. God has placed this inside of you, His child, so that in the midst of this trouble, you are able to find peace, happiness, and comfort in the love that He has given you. He is your shelter, my friend, and we need to start searching for Him in the midst of difficult situations instead of searching for a way out. Because guess what? God; He is our way out.
So today, start resting in this peace that God has placed within you, and know that your Father has you in the palm of His hand.
Thanks for writing this... It's very good!
