"God will ensure my success in accordance with His plan, not mine." Francis Chan
In finding this quote this morning, I felt God really speaking to me through it. See, as much as we don't like to admit it, we like to make our own plans and we like to be in control; for when we are, we know exactly what is happening and we know how it is all going to turn out. But then, we get discouraged when these plans don't work out and we get upset with God, asking why He didn't allow these things to happen. But my friend, today I want to encourage you with the fact that your success in your life and where it is that you go relies not on what it is that your plans are, but rather, depends solely on the plans of our Father.
You see, it can be hard to give up full control. It can be hard to fully submit to God and ask that His will be done in our lives. We, as human beings, like to have control and know what is going on around us, but when we ask that God's will be done and give up all control to Him, we have no idea what could happen, we have no idea of the possibilities, blessings, and miracles that lie ahead of us, so, even though it is a positive thing, it can be a bit scary when we do make this commitment to God. But my friend, let me tell you that, when you do, you might be scared at first, but you are going to feel a new sense of freedom, you are going to feel a new sense of guidance, and you are going to have so much more direction, purpose, and success in your life because of it! Isn't that great? You don't have to make any of the plans, you don't have to figure out how this is all going to work out, you don't even have to know where you are going! But if you would just trust in God's will for your life and give all control up to Him, you are going to see your life move in new ways that you would have never thought possible; not only that, but you are going to find a new sense of fulfillment that only God is able to give. So today, I want you to take the first step to living the purposeful and blessed life that God has in store for you, and that step is to give up the control you think you have and just trust in His perfect will.
