The Joy Of Christmas All Year Long

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23:8

With the holiday season coming to an end, there is always a sort of sadness that we all get. All the excitement, anticipation, and waiting is all through for now. During Christmas though, we tend to take on a new perspective of God that is different from the one that we typically have during the rest of the year. We all set aside a certain day to celebrate His goodness, the things He has done, and we thank Him and rejoice in those facts. Now, why does the joy of Christmas that we all lose after the 25th or so have to stop there? Why can't we carry the joy of the holiday season with us all year long? Well, there are really no reasons why we can't, but many reasons why we should. God is good to us all year, not just on Christmas. His light guides us and He blesses us with miracles at many different times throughout the year. We just need to take our attitude that we have during the Christmas season and begin to look at life with that attitude all year long! We should be rejoicing in God's goodness every day we wake up and get to live another day. God is so great and He does amazing things in all of our lives each and every day, so why only celebrate that on one holiday?

  1. God is good to me all of the time. the holidays bum me out seeing i am estranged from family. And my mother is passed away two years now. I try to maintain that the joy of the Lord is my strength. I still try to stay thankful.
