Are You Living A Life Of Faith Or Just Talking One?

"It's very easy to talk the talk, but can you walk?" Unknown

I know what you are thinking, how could this quote above actually apply to a religious blog? Well, it actually much more relevant then you might think. Let me start you off with a question today. Maybe you are a helpful person, when they are in times of need you give your friends or family a bible verse or words of encouragement. You say, Well, I always use this, or I always do that, but the question that I want you to really think on today is this: You might be talking a life of faith, but are you living one?
We all like to say we are living a life of faith. We tell people that we read the Bible, we have a verse ready for almost every situation, and we are willing to share some of that with others. But it is these people that are the ones that "talk the talk," but don't "walk the walk." They are saying all of these things that they do, and they are telling others things that they should do, where in reality, these things aren't really being carried out in the person's life.
Maybe this is you today. Maybe you are catching yourself saying these things that you do, but not really carrying them out. But let me tell you this, a true test of faith is whether or not you are living out your words, whether or not you are really taking in what you are saying and applying it to your own life. We can't just have this outer shell of faith that other people see, but we have to have an inner body of faith that inspires us and encourages us that God's promises are true, they are great, and they are living right inside of us! So go out today and live out those words that you have been telling everyone else. Show everyone, including yourself, what you believe in, not by what you say, but how you live your life.
