He Will Make Your Crooked Paths Straight

"I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight." Isaiah 45:2

So many of us worry about what lies on the path ahead of us. What will the path be like? Will it be difficult to walk on? What obstacles will I face? When we think of moving ahead, these are some of the thoughts that usually come to your mind. So, if this is where you are today, if you are dealing with the enemy putting these thoughts into your head, know that this path, this path is one that God has made for you. He created this path especially for you, so no matter what is ahead, it is not going to keep you down.
Now, take a look at the verse above. Notice that God doesn't say that He will get rid of all of the obstacles, all of the trouble, all of the hardships, but He says that He will "make the crooked places straight." So what does this mean exactly? What God is saying here is that He is going to go ahead of us, and He is going to straighten out our paths so that we know where to go. So that we know that our path, no matter what it may hold, is leading us in the right direction.
An image always comes to my mind when I read this verse. I can picture you or me, walking along this path of ours, when we begin to worry, worry about which direction our path will take us, worrying about which route to follow, when God's stops us, and He says, "I am going to go before you and straighten out those paths." Then, as we follow after Him, it is clear as to which direction that we are supposed to go. So today, put those worries aside and know that, no matter what your path may hold, God created it for you, and He is not going to let it knock you down, for He wants the best possible life for you. He will make your "crooked paths straight."
