A Flashlight In The Dark

 Maybe today, you are facing some problems that seem insurmountable. You have no idea how on earth you will get past this and you are doubting that overcoming it is even a possibility. If this is you today, I really hope and pray that you will read this post and see that, whatever it is that you are facing, you can conquer it, because you are far more equipped than you even know.
 Now, what equipment do we have to face this obstacle? Well, we have God's promises that He has made to us. We have strength, we have protection, we have wisdom, we have joy, and we have the power, with God right at our side, to overcome this obstacle. I want to use an illustration here to really show you what I am talking about. Picture yourself in a dark room. It is totally pitch black and you can't see a thing. But, you have a flashlight in your hand, in the midst of this darkness you turn your flashlight on and shine it into room, and once you do, you are able to see, you see the darkness around that light from the flashlight disappear. Now, isn't that like what you are facing today, where the darkness of that room is your obstacle and that flashlight is God's promises? You have the "flashlight" right there in your hand, what you need to do with it though, is turn it on, and shine it at your problems, and as soon as you do, like that darkness in that room, they will diminish.
