Arise And Shine

"Arise, shine, for your light has come." Isaiah 60:1

Maybe today, you woke up feeling discouraged, maybe feeling a bit anxious or sad. Maybe you are looking at the day ahead of you with no hope or dreading what it has to bring. Well, today I want to tell you how you can take that attitude, take that discouragement or sadness, and flip it around into joy, flip it around into happiness and confidence!
Now first, going off of Isaiah 60:1, you need to arise. Stand up with confidence, open your eyes in the morning and take a deep breath, then get up with the thought in your heart that today is going to be amazing, full of miracles, and full of joy. Arise with hope, expecting the day ahead of you to be amazing.
Next, again, based off of Isaiah 60:1, you need to go out and shine. Let that feeling that something miraculous is going to happen today shine through you. Let the light of God shine through you for others to see. When you do this, when you let your light shine for the world, this is not only allowing others to see it, but it means that you have so much happiness and joy inside of you, and that you are so confident in it that you want to show it to others!
Lastly, as it says in the verse above, "your light has come." Think of when you wake up in the morning and you see the sun begin to shine, it signifies that a new day has started, right?  Well think of God as the sun. Each morning He rises up, bringing you a new day full of promise and hope, and even if it is cloudy, that will not deter the sun, the sun is going to rise in the midst of those clouds.
So go out today and enjoy the day. Welcome the blessings and miracles that will be coming your way and act like the day ahead of you is one of the best days of your life, all because "your light has come."
