Put On Love: A Post Based Off Of Colossians 3:14

"Put on love." Colossians 3:14

 Notice that this verse here says "put on love." Now, I know that you have probably seen hundreds of quotes, and Bible verses too, that say things like, show love to others, give them the love that need, so what exactly is Colossians 3:14 telling us to do?
 Now, I want you to think of getting ready in the morning. We all change from our pajamas, the clothes that we slept in, into clothes that we are going to wear as we go out and face the day. We occasionally put on accessories too, don't we? Maybe a hat? Some earrings or a necklace? Or maybe a tie or a scarf? You want to get it all on before you leave the house, because you don't want get out in the world and realize that you forgot something, but the truth is, is that you are forgetting the most important part of your outfit. No, it's not your shirt, and you didn't wear two different shoes, but you forgot the love. You see, in the morning when we are getting ready, we are so focused on how the world is going to look at us, rather than focusing on how we are going to impact the world. You see, the outfit that you are wearing or the tie that you have on is not going to make someone who is feeling alone and down feel better, but it is the person underneath that is going to do that, and if that person forgets to put on love in the morning, if that person forgets to grab their loving spirit as they are running out the door, than they are going to walk past that person on the way to their meeting that God has put into their lives so that they might be able to help them.
 So what I want you to do today, is to remember, and not just today either, but every day, remember to put on love.
