Doing The Right Thing: Trust, Sacrifice, And Honor

"You must never be fearful about what you are doing when it is right." Rosa Parks

We all we want to do what's right. We want to make the right decisions and honor God with our choices, but sometimes this can be harder to do than we think. You see, doing what's right doesn't only involve us making the right decision, it's more complicated than that, doing what is right involves so much more.
So what exactly does it involve? Well, first of all, and one of the hardest and most important points to remember, is to trust God. You see, when we are doing the right thing, we are going to come across situations where we feel like we need to take control. Where we feel like, to get the results that we want, we have to make this situation turn out a certain way. But hold on there for one second and let me ask you something; Are you working to do what is right? Or are you working to get the results that you want? See, this is where that trust comes into play. No matter what we feel or how we think the situation should go, we have to trust that God already knows how it is going to happen, and whatever He has in store is the way that it is supposed to be.
Next we have to honor God with doing what's right. We have to remember that, when doing the right thing, we are going to have to make some sacrifices, we are going to be uncomfortable, and sometimes, we are going to feel like giving up. I'm not going to lie, it can be very hard to do the right thing at times, but here is what we need to remember; Remember the sacrifice Jesus made for you. Remember all of the uncomfortable situations He endured for you, and did He ever give up? No! So by doing what is right, we are giving back to Jesus what He so willingly gave to us, and we are honoring Him by doing so.
So today, if you would just remember these points, then doing the right thing will be a completely new experience for you.
