Add To The Fire

"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are." Marianne Williamson

Where are you in your life today? What's going on around you? Maybe it's your job, school, or just typical day to day life, or maybe you have some unfortunate events surrounding you, maybe a loss, financial problems, health issues, or just the stress that life can bring. You see, it is so easy to get caught up in these things, but we can't allow these worldly things, along with the stress and fear that comes along with them, to put out the light that God has given us.
Think about it this way; God has placed this light inside all of us, this joy, this feeling that we are excited about life and ready for all the miracles that God will bring. It is a flame burning within us, and if we continue to add to that fire, if we continue to focus on our blessings, the dreams that God has placed within our hearts, the fact that He can make anything possible, and just the overall beauty of life around us, then the only thing that the fire is going to do is grow. It's going to grow bigger and bigger, and even when it doesn't have any more room within you, it is going to shine from you, so that others can see it!
But you see, all of these things around us, the stress, the worry, the losses, the health issues, the financial difficulty or whatever it may be, that is the dirt to your fire. That is the thing that is going to put that flame within you out. But we can't let this happen! We cannot succumb to the world's "dirt" that might be thrown at us, because if we do, then those things are what we are going to feel. We are not going to feel the joy or the excitement for life, but we are going to feel the worry, the pain, and the stress. So what we need to do today, is we need to focus on the fire, not the dirt. No matter how deep you might have to dig, find that light within you, keep adding to it, and rejoice in it,  and you, my friend, are going to be living a new and better life.
