The Secret Of True Happiness

"The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life."
William Morris

Today, I want to encourage you to do something. Something that doesn't even necessarily involve going out in the world, but rather, I want you to do something inside of yourself. Something that may seem so simple for some, but so difficult for others. Today, I want you, my friend, to be happy.
So maybe you are happy, and if you are, then that is great! It really is. But then, maybe you aren't, maybe you are trying to be but everything just seems to be working against you in your effort to do so, but today, I have some good news that I would like to share with you. I want to let you know the good news that, despite all of the stress, chaos, and trouble that is going on around you, you can be happy in the midst of that. There is something in there that you can find to be happy about. But what is it? Well, that all depends on where and how you look at things.
You see, in the quote above, it states that, the secret to happiness, not only that but true happiness, is to take "genuine interest in all the details of daily life." Now, when it says genuine interest; it does not mean passing by and glancing at it, but genuine interest is taking time to stop and look, not only that, but taking time to actually enjoy the gifts all around you. Now you see, this happiness, this isn't going to be found in big luxurious things that many of us do not have, but it is found in the small things, as William Morris says, "in all of the details of daily life." Whether it be the leafs on the trees, the shape of the clouds, the small things that make you laugh, these are the things that true happiness is made up of, and these, my friend, are what we need to focus on.
So through all of your troubles, through all of your chaos, and through all of your stress, take your focus off of those things, and focus on the details of life, the things that can truly, make you happy.
