Jesus Is Walking On The Water Of Your Stormy Sea

"A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water." John 5:18-19

Maybe today, like the disciples in this verse, you are riding through a storm. The waters are rough, everything is crashing down upon you, and the winds are blowing strong, seeming as if they are going to knock you right over. You've gone as far as you can, but you don't think you can go any farther. Well let me tell you today, that you shouldn't fear, because Jesus is walking on the water of your stormy sea.
Now what do I mean by this? You see, I love how, in this verse, it talks about how the waters were rough, how a storm was going on around them, of which the disciples in the boat must have been pretty frightened of, and just then, after they traveled about as far as they could, they saw Jesus coming towards them, and He was walking calmly on these stormy seas.
So don't you see how this could apply to our lives today? We are the disciples, we are the ones in the midst of a storm, who are terrified, and who have gone as far as we can go. But if we would stop focusing on the storm, if we would take our eyes off of the trouble that we have around us, and look up, we are going to see Jesus, walking through the storm towards us, coming to rescue us. Now know, that of course I do not mean this literally, but what I am saying is that Jesus is going to calm all that is around you. No matter how strong the storm may be, no matter how afraid you are, Jesus can overcome both of those things. He can calm and walk on the stormy waves, and He is coming to help you. He is coming to comfort and guide you. You just have to take your focus on the storm and put it on Him.
