"Stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes!" 1 Samuel 12:16
Maybe today, you are scared; you are worried, nervous, or discouraged, and all of these are completely normal human emotions. However, when we are having them, it is so easy for us to get so caught up in the whirlwind of all of it that we are unable to get caught up in what it is that God has for us.
Today I want to proclaim over you that God is going to do great things before your eyes today. He is going to bring a miracle to pass, he is going to grant you with a new and amazing opportunity, He is going to grace you with an unexpected blessing! But, before we are able to experience any of that, we need to, figuratively speaking, clean our glasses.
See, when you wear glasses or sunglasses, you can see clearly out in front of you, right? You can see all that surrounds you and all that is coming towards you. But imagine if those glasses were covered in dirt and grime. You wouldn't be able to see what is coming, you wouldn't be able to see what is already around you; all you would be able to see is the dirt and grime. Do you see where I am going with this? Our worry, our discouragement, our fears, and our anxieties are clouding up our "glasses" so that we can't see what it is that God is bringing down to us. We can't rejoice or focus on the blessings that we already have either, because we are too busy focusing on the dirt and the grime.
So what it is that we need to do today, is to to clean our glasses. We need to rid ourselves of all of this negativity that is keeping us from God's blessings and miracles, and to do so, we need to do as the verse above says, we need to "stand still." We need to breath, and look to God, for He can offer us the peace that we need, the peace that will surpass all that negativity that is keeping us from the life that He has us to live. You also need to hand it all over to Him, for when you give Him all of it, when you put it into His hands, you are going to have so much more clarity in your life, and, after you, my friend, take this step today, I tell you that God is going to step in and you are going to be able to "see the great things that He is about to do before your eyes" today!
Amen...
