Feeling Unappreciated?

"What they have done has been done in the sight of God." John 3:21

 Maybe today in your life, you are feeling unappreciated. Like all of the things that you do for people, all of the tasks that you accomplish, and all of the hard work that you put in are going unnoticed. This can be a difficult situation to be in, but let me tell you, my friend, that there is someone who appreciates and notices everything that you do.
 You see, we do all of these things in our lives and we accomplish all of these tasks to our very best ability, and once we do, we expect someone to praise us for our hard work. We expect someone to thank us or tell us how much they appreciate all that we did, but I am sorry to say that, more often than not, we are not going to get that reaction that we are looking for. People are not always going to notice what it is that you do, and they may not always praise, thank, or appreciate you for it as much as they should either. But something that I have learned recently has changed my perspective on this whole idea. You see, the reason that we get upset and the reason that we do not think that we are receiving the reaction that we deserve is because we are looking for worldly approval, of which we need to get our focus off of. You see, we are so focused on getting people to like us and trying to make them happy, that when we can't do that, and when it doesn't seem that they even notice our effort, that can be quite a bit of a harsh blow. But let me tell you something today; let me tell you that we have to stop searching for worldly approval when their is heavenly approval waiting for us to accept. See, this heavenly approval is that of God's, and He sees everything you do, He notices all of your efforts, and all of your hard work. And do you know what? He appreciates you! You make Him smile when He sees you doing these kind gestures, when He sees you working your hardest, and when He sees you caring for others. He approves of you, my friend, and He thanks you. Not only that, but He is going to reward you for all of your hard work. He is going to grant you with blessing and favor because of what it is that He has seen you do.
 So today, if you are feeling unappreciated, just remember that God sees your efforts, and you make Him smile by all of your hard work. He appreciates all that you do, and His approval is the only one that truly matters.
