"For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land." Deuteronomy 8:7
We have all heard the story of God leading those in the Bible to the Promised Land, but what I want to do today is to relate that story to our own. See, God is bringing us to our own "Promised Land." He is wanting to lead us into it to reveal to us all of the goodness, purpose, and promises that He has in store for us; but the question is, are we willing to follow?
Now, our "Promised Land" is an amazing place that God has waiting out in front of us. It is a place of fulfillment, a place of joy, a place of purpose, and dreams coming true, but see, we can't see that ourselves. We don't know what it looks like or how long it is going to take for us to get to that point, and without that knowledge, it is easy for us to get discouraged and to take the easier road. But see, in the Bible, the road to the Promised Land was far from easy, in fact, it was so difficult that those walking almost did end up giving up. But let me ask you something today; what if you gave up walking this path that supposedly leads to your "Promised Land," and the next few steps that you would have taken would have gotten you there? You would miss out on this amazing act that God is wanting to perform in your life! Now, I am not saying that your "Promised Land" is that of perfection and no trouble, but what I am saying is that this place that God has ahead of us on each of our journeys is something worth walking towards. It is a place of God fulfilling His purpose for your life. It is a place of seeing the miracles that He has in store for you unfold, and, no matter how much trouble, hardships, or difficulty that you may have to go through to get there, I can tell you, that it will be worth it.
So today, I want you to ask yourself whether you are willing to follow God to your "Promised Land," even though you know that the road may be bumpy along the way. You will have to overcome obstacle and face challenges, but God is going to be at your side along the way. He is guiding you to the "land" that He has promised you, and He is not going to let you fall because of these things along the way.
So get up today, go out, and start walking the path that God has for you, for with each step, you, my friend, are getting closer and closer to your "Promised Land."
AMEN....
