Joseph Campbell
In our lives, we like to make plans. We like to feel as though we are in control of what is happening. We determine that we are going to get to this point in our career or in our dreams and we plan out all of the details on how it is that we are going to get there. But let me tell you today, my friend, no matter how many plans you make or how detailed you make them, God's plan is the one that ultimately prevails, not yours.
Now, Why is this so hard for us? Well you see, like I said, we like to make plans. We like to map out the direction in which we want to go and we figure out how it is that we are going to get there, but when these plans don't work out, when our plans that we make don't turn out as we have mapped out they would, we get upset and we get discouraged. We let these thoughts become planted in our head that we are never going to get to that place because we don't know how else to get there. But let me tell you something; something that I hope is music to your ears; you don't have to know how you are going to get there and you don't have to make the plans, and that is all because God's already got it taken care of.
See, when we make our plans and attempt to follow those, we aren't following the plans that God has for us and we aren't walking in the direction in which He has us to go. So what it is that we are needing to do in our lives is to stop making these plans and let go of all of these aspects of our life that we have mapped out and hand it all over to God, because it is only when we do that, that we are able to truly walk into the path that He has for us; the path that will ultimately lead us to a place that is a hundred times better than anywhere we ever could have gotten to on our own.
So today, let go of all of the plans that you have made, and trust in God's. Let Him lead you in your life to where He has you to go, for I can promise you that you are going to be amazed at where He will take you when you do.
