Break The Chains That Society Has You In

"Be who you were created to be and you will set the world on fire." St. Catherine of Sienna

In today's modern society, we tend to want to fit in. We want to be who the world says we should be at this point in our lives, whether that's married, with kids, doing this or doing that, and we try to live up to these standards. But my friend, today I want you to break the chains that society puts on you. The chains that say you have to be a certain way and the chains that keep you from being the real person that God has created you to be. Break them today, and set yourself free.
Now, don't get me wrong, modern society has brought us a lot of great things, but along with those things comes stereotypes and comparisons. See, today, it is the norm for us to be like other people. There is a standard that is set that we have to live up to for people to look at us and like us. We have to look, act, and talk a certain way, we have to be interested in certain things, and be at certain points in our lives, but when we live in this idea, held down by the chains of today's society, we are completely missing out on the person that God has created us to be!
See, God didn't create us to be like everyone else. He didn't create us so that we could morph into this person who is acceptable to society, but He created us to be different. He created us to stand out! We put these chains on ourselves when we compare ourselves to others, wishing that we could have what they have or be more like them, we put these chains on ourselves when we submit to changing to be like others just so we can fit in, but here's the thing, God didn't create us to live in chains, but He created us to be free! He wants the best possible life for us, and that involves being who He has created us to be, not who the world has created us to be.
So today, we need to step up and step out of this trap that society has us in. We need to break the chains that are holding us back from who we are meant to be, and we need to walk into the life that God has waiting in front of us. Yes you may be different, but that difference is what is going to set you apart from all the rest. That difference is going to allow you to rise up to new heights that you never even would have thought possible!
