Stop Dwelling On Your Fears, And Seek The Lord

"I sought the Lord and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears." Psalms 34:4

In your life today, maybe you are afraid or anxious about what lies ahead of you. Maybe you are worried about something that is coming up in your life, maybe you are stressed about whether this one thing will happen or not, or maybe you are just scared for the fact that you have absolutely no idea what it is that lies ahead of you. My friend, these are emotions that we all feel daily, but that shouldn't be an excuse that we use to worry and fear about things instead of trusting in God and that He will deliver us from them.
Now you see, the verse above says, "I sought the Lord and He heard me." I doesn't say that we worried and He heard us, it doesn't say that we were terrified and He heard us, but it says that, despite those things, when we sought Him, and when we searched for Him during the hard time that we may be going through, that is when He heard us and that, my friend, is when He "delivered us from all our fears."
Now what does it mean, "sought?" Sought means to seek or to search for. See, when we are in a situation in which we are afraid of whatever it is that lies, or doesn't lie, ahead of us, that is all that we are seeing, that is all the we are focusing on. But see, if we would shift our perspective and seek the Lord instead of dwelling on our fears, that is when we are going to see Him work in our lives, and when we pray to Him in that seeking, that is when He will hear us, that is when He is going to answer that prayer, and that is when He is going to deliver us from our fears.
So today, my friend, start seeking God instead of dwelling on your fears, for when you do, that is when He is going deliver you from them. You just have to do your part.
