Stop Judging. Start Loving.

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them." Mother Theresa

In our society today, we are so full of judgment towards those with differing lifestyles, opinions, and beliefs. But see, the thing is here is that this is considered "normal." We don't feel bad about judging others because everyone else does it, and it's just something that people do now. But my friend, this statement couldn't be more wrong! We can't let the rules that society sets prevail over the guidance that God has set for our lives.
Now, we are all human. We do make mistakes a falter, but we still have to try our best. We have to try our best to see the good in all of the people that we come in contact with, whether we agree with what they agree with or not. For you see, when we spend so much time judging others, we have no time to perform the most important task that we have been left with, and that is to love them. See, when we are judging them and when we are picking out all that we don't like about this person, that is all that we are going to see. We are going to see the beliefs that we don't agree with, the way they look or the way they talk that we don't approve of, or their lifestyle choice that we think they could do better in. But my friend, when this is all that we are seeing, we have no time to get to know, and love, the person that God has created them to be.
Something that I think we so often forget due to the fact that we judge others because we think their way of thinking or living is so wrong, is that we are all God's children, every single one of us. No matter what they wear, no matter how they live, no matter their political beliefs, God still loves them, and we need to as well. See, in 1 Corinthians 13:13, it says this; "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." It doesn't say love them if they do this or that, love them if they believe in the same thing you do, or love them if their lifestyle meets your approval. No. But it just says that the greatest commandment that we have ever been given is to love others, and when we are judging them, we have no time to do that.
So today, go out and show the love that this world needs, for it has enough judgment and criticism. Just be the type of person that God has created us to be, one that loves all of His children for who they are; for who God has created them to be.
